ROLE
MOTION GRAPHICS

In 2023, HUSH was invited to create an engaging event experience for a modern workforce management company that leverages automation and technology in their all-inclusive HR, IT and Finance platform.

Through immersive art and storytelling, HUSH devised an immersive and unique booth experience that allowed the brand to attract, inspire and connect with visitors at the SHRM Conference and HR Technology Conference in Las Vegas.

HUSH envisioned “The Droplet” - a space for visitors to explore and learn about the brand secluded from the chaos of the event environment, and from which the experience ripples outward. Visitors carry a pebble into the experience and drop it into the well, which triggers and launches the ripples of light, sound and projection. Below are some UX diagrams and renders.
FORM (CONTEXT)

ANIMATIONS USING PROJECTION
We explored several options for the technological approach on the interior. Our first approach involved having multiple layers of scrim on the interior and using projection to achieve high definition forms.

The lighting animations have the role of telling a story. As there were pre-existing brand motion guidelines in place, I aimed to push the boundaries of what was in place and create experiential modes of narrative.

5 motion beats were outlined to make up the programming of the animation: ambient, start(haptic feedback), story (brand), climatic moment and wind-down. During the climatic beat, there is a photo opportunity for the visitor.

ANIMATIONS WITH
SINGLE-PIXEL LEDS
Due to technological restraints, we switched from using projection to using two single-pixel LEDS along the top and bottom of the scrim layers, to create mesmerizing possibilities of colors, gradients and movement.

With the same motion beat UX in mind, we developed 4 variations for each motion beat to create bespokeness to the visitors’ photo moments.
